New York Democratic Signage

Well I had to go to the dentist today, unlike most people I LOVE my dentist.  She is quick, friendly and has a soothing manner.  The office is 30 minutes north of me so I was able to see how the local Dems are doing at getting their signs out.  I was impressed, I saw a lot of Spitzer, Hillary and Andrew Cuomo signs all the way up Rt. 40.  The local firefighters are also getting involved with their own hand made signs urging people to vote for Democrats.

It looked to me like not many Republicans were even bothering to get involved.  The area I am referring to is generally Republican but they are old school Republicans that have been farming and running farm-related businesses for generations.  These are the Republicans that believe in the Constitution and in individual rights and freedoms.

How is your town doing with signs?

I am on LI! (none / 0)

The signs are focused on a Democratic State Senate primary between David Ochoa, Jimmy Dahroug and Suffolk County Legislator Ricardo Montano to face Dinoseur State senator Ceasar Trunzo in November.  Ochoa has the Working Family party line for the general. The other signage is mostly with the special election primary for Islip Town Supervisor between republican Councilwomen Pamela Greens and County Legislator Tom Barraga. Greene has the Conservative line for the general.

I am leaving with my wife and in-laws  on a trip to Niagara Falls.  I will be taking 80 West to 81 North to the Thruway.  I will note if I see any interesting campaign signage along the route though lawn signs don't usually find their way onto all the interstates.  i will try to get onto some secondary roads to check out the country along the way.  Maybe Northern PA has some interesting stuff out there?

Man if Long Island can go Dem it would be a great thing.  I was impressed that Shelter Island voted for Kerry during the last election.  It seems there is a big tide turning out there.

I hope you enjoy/ed your trip.
